Nobody Asked Me But………….
It is instructive how well Conservative tweeting pundits know their President:
Last words from @POTUS before deplaning Air Force One: “I catch one American bowing here and you’re on the next Saudia flight home”…
— Steve Cortes (@CortesSteve) May 20, 2017
Unlike Obama, Trump bows to no one! Finally, we have leadership and strength back in the White House! #RiyadhSummit #SaturdayMorning pic.twitter.com/uqhyoRxHsU
— Steve Hirsch (@Stevenwhirsch99) May 20, 2017
Perhaps this picture illustrates how far off the Republican pundits were and how far the U.S. has fallen as a world power:
Doesn’t Paul Krugman’s NY Times Column explain why our Impeachment Hopes might be in vain?:
The G.O.P., by contrast, is one branch of a monolithic structure, movement conservatism, with a rigid ideology — tax cuts for the rich above all else. Other branches of the structure include a captive media that parrots the party line every step of the way. Compare the coverage of recent political developments on Fox News with almost everywhere else; we’re talking North Korea levels of alternative reality.
And this monolithic structure — lavishly supported by a small number of very, very wealthy families — rewards, indeed insists on, absolute fealty. Furthermore, the structure has been in place for a long time: It has been 36 years since Reagan was elected, 22 years since the Gingrich takeover of Congress. What this means is that nearly all Republicans in today’s Congress are apparatchiks, political creatures with no higher principle beyond party loyalty.”
Is setting up a $100 Billion Arms Deal with the Saudis really contributing to peace in the Middle East?:
“Over the weekend, Jared Kushner was credited with negotiating a $110 billion arms deal to the Saudis, the largest arms deal in U.S. history:
The deal was finalized in part thanks to the direct involvement of Jared Kushner, the President’s son-in-law and senior adviser. He shocked a high-level Saudi delegation earlier this month when he personally called Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson and asked if she would cut the price of a sophisticated missile detection system, according to a source with knowledge of the call. Pressured to finalize a massive $100-plus billion arms deal in the two weeks leading up to Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia, Kushner hoped to maneuver a discount on Lockheed’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system during the Saudis’ visit to the White House on May 1 — a request that Hewson said she would look into at the time.”
Isn’t it a tad too coincidental that this is happening at the same time as the arms deal?:
“Coincidentally, the Saudis have also agreed to donate a whopping $100 million to the recently announced women’s fund inspired by Jared Kushner’s wife, Ivanka Trump:
The World Bank plans to announce Sunday at an event with Ivanka Trump, the U.S. president’s daughter and senior White House adviser, that Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates have pledged $100 million collectively toward a fund for women who own or want to start businesses, according to people familiar with the announcement.”
Wasn’t Trump talking a different tune when he debated Hilary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation was asked about?:
“Donald Trump called the Clinton Foundation “a criminal enterprise” during Wednesday’s debate.
When Chris Wallace asked Clinton about reports of conflicts of interest at the foundation, she responded, “I’m thrilled to talk about the Clinton Foundation because it is a world renowned charity and I’m so proud of the work that it does.”
Trump shot in that it’s a “criminal enterprise.”
“Saudi Arabia given $25 million, Qatar, all of these countries. You talk about women and women’s rights? These are people that push gays off business, off buildings. These are people that kill women and treat women horribly and yet you take their money,” Trump said. “So I’d like to ask you right now why don’t you give back the money that you’ve taken from certain countries that treat certain groups of people so horribly?”
Isn’t linking Saudi Arabia and a fund for women entrepreneurs sort of oxy-moronic given the state of Women’s Rights in the Saudi Kingdom?
Why does Saudi Arabia spends about the same as Russia for its military?
How is it that the country most responsible for the terrorists of 9/11 is held in such esteem by America’s Foreign Policy establishment?
Given Saudi Arabia’s governmental structure and history it isn’t surprising that America’s support for this Kingdom undermines the idea that our country spreads democracy in the world?
The Saudis are NOT our friends as the linked post explains.

First we thought Republicans had a plausible view that required our critical consideration.
Then we thought they were ignoring convincing studies contradicting their position because of ideology.
Now we know they ignore the reality of the economy and the environment to ensure the financial success of their patrons.
The last remaining question is how far they will go to sell out their country.

WTF. He was getting some sort of medal and he leaned over to make it easy for the old guy to put it on.
Russia and the Saudis are contending with Islamic terrorism.
Sorta funny how all you commies thought nothing of sucking Stalins ass. The left has no standards but double. Truly a bunch of malefactors. Too bad Trump isn’t doing more to get rid of the Clinton and Obama holdovers. I would just fire them all. Most bureaucrats don’t do anything anyway except make shit up to hobble the rest of us.

Bron,
What is funny is just how protective you are over this disgusting clown, who is mentally damaged. I get it though. He has promised you a big tax cut and to you that is more important that anything else.

It would not be worth mentioning, except to point out the utter hypocrisy of Trump and others bashing Obama for bowing.
If the hobbling prevents people from making decisions that put lead in the water, or dumping industrial waste that creates super fund sites then I say more power to them. That is the kind of hobbling that we need.
BTW, I am not a commie, not even much left of center and I am certainly not a Democrat.
I say play it as it lays. Anybody who thinks an ideology can lead us to a solution for all our problems simply has not tried to solve many problems.

How would you know he is damaged? Isnt it unethical to provide a diagnosis without a full workup? Did you let your certification as a psychologist lapse and are just acting as a layman? I think all of you are crazy so I guess its only fair.
Why do you fixate on tax cuts? I had my accountant look at impact, not very much.
My support of Trump is about him being a disrupter of the status quo, nothing more. Well, I do like the fact that he is causing you troglodytes to foam at the mouth. Face it, the left has the universities, entertainment, the MSM, the bureaucracy and wall st. You guys are the oligarchs, the plutocrats and now you are on the ropes and your feet are ever so slowly being removed from our necks.

Bron,
It is so glad to see you aligning yourself with the impoverished underdogs like:
Koch Brothers – Net Worth $96.6 Billion
Walton Family – Net Worth $82.3 Billion
Larry Ellison – Net Worth $54.3 Billion
Sheldon Adelson – Net Worth $32.9 Billion
Mercer Family – New Worth $25 Billion
Carl Icahn – Net Worth $15.9 Billion
Devos Family – Net Worth $10 Billion
Trumps Cabinet – Net Worth $4.5 Billion

Well, thank you for reading. I have been reading you too for years. Though we rarely agree it is always a pleasure and often a challenge to respond to your remarks.
I am left of center. But I am willing to consider a solution from any quarter and try to let the facts guide me to my opinions.

“New revelations have surfaced that the Obama administration abused intelligence during the election by launching a massive domestic spy campaign that included snooping on Trump officials.”
God damn, it never fails, when a lefty is blaming someone for something there is an almost 100% certainty they were the ones who did it.

Seriously? Now you are making me laugh. I think your dipshit leadership didn’t think that what they did and are doing is a sword that cuts both ways. Dems couldn’t wait to genuflect to Andropov and Gorbachev when the Soviet Union existed but don’t feel disheartened, Putin is still a stinking commie so its ok for dems to fellate him. Bill? Hillary? Nancy? Maxine? Any takers out there in lefty land? Don’t be shy, you weren’t with Castro and Ortega.

Bron,
If you want to make a point by citing history it would behoove you to use the actual history, rather than some talking point that you have gullibly swallowed from some right wing propaganda source. The people that Andropov and Gorbachev dealt with exclusively were Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George Schultz. All right wing Republicans. Part of the problems you have in understanding anything about politics is that your research is sloppy and your mind is predisposed to think with your ideology, rather than your intelligence.

Not talking about that, well aware that Reagan wanted to end the Soviet Union which he did. I am talking about all the dirty dem commie lovers who tried to protect the commies.
Maybe you should review your history.
A minor point, Bush, father and son, were not conservative.
I am really tired of correcting your understanding. I suppose you also think Julius and Ethel were innocent and that Alger Hiss was a patriot. A minor point, I would have sent the Rosenberg’s to live in Russia.

You are so smug in your ignorance. I’ve actually known communists and I fought them in my Union. You have probably not even met a communist and all you know about them is from the propaganda pushers that have closed your mind. I dislike communists far more than you do, because I have actually had to deal with them. As for your hero’s treasonous obsession with Russia today your support makes your complicit. However, since you have no idea of what you are talking about, I need to inform you that Putin is a classic fascist and NOT a communist. From past exchanges with you though I am aware that you don’t know the difference.

fascist, communist, socialist; they are pretty much all the same. They trace their philosophical roots through Marx, Hegel and Plato among others. I think you need to do some introspection old timer. I meet commies and fascists and socialists around here all the time. I still think their ideology sucks.
Funny how all this Trump stuff is going to backfire on the dems and probably send some of them to jail. I would really love to see HRC frog marched for her involvement with the Russians, at least Trump didn’t facilitate the transfer of Uranium to them and through them to Iran. Wake up pops, this lefty shit is for the birds.
Trump has his problems but he is a disrupter of the status quo and that is just fine by me. I think Maddow, Lemon, Pelosi, Ginsburg, Durbin, Schumer and their ilk need their power trumpcated.

That’s ok. Not to worry, I don’t think you are stupid for not understanding. It’s not hard though. Fascists are socialists who adhere to nationalism with the ownership being private but the state regulating and calling the shots, communists are socialists who believe in ownership by the proletariat but they just spout that shit for dumbasses, socialists want the state to own production.
It’s basically the same, the owner doesn’t really own when the state is calling the shots.
Marx was a very smart man but he just was full of bullshit. He was operating at the dawn of the industrial revolution, he didn’t see or want to see the larger picture, although he did give capitalism lip service. He just was following the wrong philosophers, I’ve read some Hegel, holy gobbledygook. Marx didn’t wait to see what transpired, he just called it crap. Yet the capitalist US out produced and treated its people much better than the SU. FSC just suck for the masses, they end up poor and struggling. Just really evil, all 3 of them, just look at history.
