Some people tend to explain away the police murders of Black People by wrapping ALL police in a banner of honor and bravery,  thus raising them above the constraints of our legal system. As much as some Americans will have an overwhelming compassion for their police heroes that borders on worship,  for many Americans particularly people of color,  they experience the police in a different way.  Here is a Black Republican Senator,  with superior conservative credentials,  who describes his own encounters with police.  Will he be somehow seen as not credible to those who always hold up the police as heroes?
